Description:   A vulnerability was reported in F5 BIG-IP APM Client for Windows. A local user can gain system privileges on the target system.

The client for Windows uses Legacy logon mode with a System account and displays a certificate user interface dialog box containing a link to the certificate policy. A local user can exploit the dialog box to gain administrator level privileges on the target system.


Michael Molho of e-Xpert Solutions SA reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain system privileges on the target system.
Solution:   F5 has issued a fix (Client version 7.1.7.1).
