Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Windows Win32k and other components. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can run a specially crafted application to trigger an object memory handling flaw in Win32k and execute arbitrary commands on the target system with elevated privileges [CVE-2018-8399, CVE-2018-8404].

A local user can run a specially crafted application to trigger a file creation flaw in Diagnostics Hub Standard Collector and execute arbitrary commands on the target system with elevated privileges [CVE-2018-0952].

The Windows Installer does not properly validate user-supplied input in the Windows Installer [CVE-2018-8339].

The Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) implementation (ndis.sys) does not properly check buffer length before copying the buffer [CVE-2018-8342, CVE-2018-8343].

A remote user can create a specially crafted file that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a serialization error in "Microsoft COM for Windows" and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2018-8349]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
