Description:   A vulnerability was reported in EMC Data Protection Advisor. A remote authenticated user can conduct XML external entity attacks to obtain files on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can supply specially crafted XML External Entity (XXE) data to the target REST API to read files on the target system with the privileges of the target service or cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can read files on the target system with the privileges of the target service or cause denial of service conditions on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (6.4 patch B180, 6.5 patch B58; Advisory DSA-2018-112).
