Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Xen. A local user on the guest system can cause denial of service conditions on the guest system.

A local user on a guest system can trigger an uninitialized %ebx state error in a failsafe callback path on x86 PV systems to cause the guest system kernel to crash.

64-bit x86 PV Linux systems are affected.

M. Vefa Bicakci and Andy Lutomirski reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user on the guest system can the guest system to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (xsa274-linux-4.17.patch).
