Description:
Several vulnerabilities were reported in Cisco Unified Contact Center Express. A remote user can conduct cross-site request forgery attacks. A remote user can obtain passwords on the target system. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
A remote user can create a specially crafted HTML page or URL that, when loaded by the target authenticated user, will take actions on the target web-based management interface acting as the target user [CVE-2018-0402].
The web-based management interface prefills the password field with a previously saved password from an internal database [CVE-2018-0403. A remote user can view the HTML source to retrieve a cleartext password on the target system.
The web-based management interface does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input [CVE-2018-0400, CVE-2018-0401]. A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the Cisco Unified Contact Center Express software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
The vendor has assigned bug IDs CSCvg70904, CSCvg70921, CSCvg70967, and CSCvg71040 to these vulnerabilities.
Filip Waeytens from NCI Agency Cyber Security reported these vulnerabilities.
