Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Oracle WebLogic. A remote user can gain elevated privileges. A remote user can access and modify data on the target system. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A remote user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle WebLogic Server Sample apps (Spring Framework) component to gain elevated privileges [CVE-2018-1275].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle WebLogic Server WLS - Web Services component to gain elevated privileges [CVE-2018-2894].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle WebLogic Server WLS Core Components component to gain elevated privileges [CVE-2018-2893].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle WebLogic Server JSF component to access data, modify data, and partially deny service [CVE-2018-2935].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle WebLogic Server Console component to partially access and partially modify data [CVE-2018-2987].

A remote authenticated user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle WebLogic Server SAML component to partially access and partially modify data [CVE-2018-2998].

A remote authenticated user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle WebLogic Server WLS Core Components component to partially access and partially modify data [CVE-2018-2933].

David Litchfield of Apple, Badcode of Knownsec 404 Team, Lukasz Plonka of ING Services Polska, 0c0c0f, and Denis Andzakovic of Pulse Security reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can obtain data on the target system.

A remote user can modify data on the target system.

A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can gain elevated privileges on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix as part of the July 2018 Critical Patch Update.
