Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Windows Kernel. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can run a specially crafted application to trigger an object memory handling flaw and execute arbitrary code on the target system with kernel-level privileges [CVE-2018-8282, CVE-2018-8308].

A local user can run a specially crafted application to trigger a permissions error in the Windows Kernel API and impersonate processes, interject cross-process communication, or interrupt system functionality [CVE-2018-8313].

A local user can cause a Windows file picker path check to fail and exploit a separate vulnerability to escape the sandbox and potentially gain elevated privileges [CVE-2018-8314].

hungtt28 of Viettel Cyber Security (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative) reported one vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
