Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Apple macOS/OS X. A local user can obtain potentially sensitive information. A local user can bypass security restrictions. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

An application can exploit a flaw in the AMD component to determine kernel memory layout [CVE-2018-4289].

An application can trigger a memory corruption error in the APFS component to execute arbitrary code with kernel level privileges [CVE-2018-4268].

An application can trigger a type confusion error in the ATS component to gain root privileges [CVE-2018-4285].

An application can trigger a memory corruption error in the CoreCrypto component to break out of its sandbox [CVE-2018-4269].

A local user can exploit a permissions error in DesktopServices to view potentially sensitive user information [CVE-2018-4178].

A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds memory read error in the IOGraphics component to obtain kernel memory contents [CVE-2018-4283].

@panicaII (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), Abraham Masri (@cheesecakeufo), Arjen Hendrikse, Mac (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), Mohamed Ghannam (@_simo36), and shrek_wzw of Qihoo 360 Nirvan Team reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A local user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can bypass security controls on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, Security Update 2018-004 Sierra, Security Update 2018-004 El Capitan).
