Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM DB2. A local user may be able obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can trigger a format string flaw in the 'db2support' tool to execute arbitrary code.

On systems that invoke the tool with elevated privileges, a local user may be able to exploit this to gain elevated privileges. DB2 does not invoke the tool with elevated privileges.

Impact:   A local user may be able to obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix (APARs IT24823, IT24824, IT24825, IT24826).
