Description:
Several vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system.
A remote user can create specially crafted web content or a '.url' file that, when loaded by the target user, will bypass the Mark of the Web (MOTW) tagging, causing security controls based on the MOTW tagging to be bypassed [CVE-2018-8113].
A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an object memory handling error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2018-0978, CVE-2018-8249, CVE-2018-8267].
Dmitri Kaslov of Telspace Systems (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), Mateusz Garncarek of ING Tech Poland, Piotr Madej of ING Tech Poland, Eric Lawrence, and Scott Bell of Security-Assessment.com reported these vulnerabilities.
