Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Fortinet FortiOS. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local administrative user with super_admin privileges and with a connected USB drive can cause the fnsysctl CLI command to execute arbitrary code from the USB drive with elevated privileges.

Shaanan Cohney of University of Pennsylvania reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local administrative user with super_admin privileges can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.4.9, 5.6.3).
