Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM DB2. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A local user can trigger a buffer overflow in db2licm to execute arbitrary code on the target system with root privileges.

Rich Mirch reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix (APARs IT24478, IT24473).
