Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Identity Services Engine. A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote user can send a specially crafted Extensible Authentication Protocol-Transport Layer Security (EAP-TLS) certificate to trigger a certificate validation flaw and cause the Identity Services Engine (ISE) application to restart.

This vulnerability can also be exploited by a remote authenticated administrator when importing a specially crafted EAP-TLS certificate into the ISE trust store.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCve31857 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target ISE application server to restart.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
