Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Exchange Server. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system. A remote user can spoof content. A remote user can conduct script injection attacks.

A remote user can send specially crafted email to the target server to trigger an object memory handling error and obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system [CVE-2018-8151].

The software does not properly validate user-supplied web requests before displaying the input [CVE-2018-8152, CVE-2018-8159]. A remote user can create a specially crafted URL that, when loaded by a target user, will cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the Microsoft Exchange software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote user can send specially crafted email to the target server to trigger an object memory handling error and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2018-8154].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in Outlook Web Access (OWA) to spoof content to conduct script or content injection attacks to obtain potentially sensitive information [CVE-2018-8153].

Nicolas Joly of Microsoft Corporation, Mohamed El Azaar, Max Smith, and Adrian Ivascu reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A remote user can spoof a server.

A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the Microsoft Exchange software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
