Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Windows Host Compute Service Shim (hcsshim) Library. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted container image file that, when imported (i.e., pulled) by the target authenticated administrator user, will trigger an input validation flaw in the Windows Host Compute Service Shim (hcsshim) library and cause a container management service that uses the library to execute arbitrary code on the target host system.

Michael Hanselmann reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (hcsshim 0.6.10).
