Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux kernel. A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A local user can supply a specially crafted value to trigger an integer negation error in the kill_something_info() function in 'kernel/signal.c' and cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

The impact is compiler and architecture dependent.

Impact:   A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.13) [in September 2017].
