Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Office. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A remote user can send a Rich Text Format (RTF) email message containing a specially crafted OLE object that, when opened or previewed by the target user, will obtain potentially sensitive information on the target user's system [CVE-2018-0950]. This can be exploited to conduct brute-force guessing attacks against NTLM to a remote SMB server. Versions 2007 SP3, 2010 SP2, 2013 SP1, 2013 RT SP1, 2016, 2016 Click-to-Run (C2R), and Office Compatibility Pack SP3 are affected.

A remote user can create a specially crafted document file that, when opened by the target user, will obtain potentially sensitive information from memory on the target user's system [CVE-2018-1007]. Versions 2007 SP3, 2010 SP2, 2013 SP1, 2013 RT SP1, 2016, 2016 Click-to-Run (C2R), and Office Compatibility Pack SP3 are affected.

A remote user can create a specially crafted file that, when opened by the target user via Microsoft Office, will trigger an object memory handling error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2018-1026]. Versions 2007 SP3, 2010 SP2, 2013 SP1, 2013 RT SP1, 2016, 2016 Click-to-Run (C2R), and Office Compatibility Pack SP3 are affected.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a flaw in the handling of embedded fonts in the Office graphics component and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2018-1028]. The Preview Pane is not an attack vector for this vulnerability.

A remote user can create a specially crafted file that, when opened by the target user via Microsoft Office, will trigger an object memory handling error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2018-1030].

Will Dormann CERT/CC, Vladislav Stolyarov of Kaspersky Lab, and Jaanus Kaap of Clarified Security reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
