Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM Security Guardium Big Data Intelligence (SonarG). A remote user can gain access to the target system.

The system does not properly lockout accounts on authentication failure. A remote user can conduct a brute force password guessing attack to gain access to the target system.

Ron Craig, Warren Moynihan, Jonathan Fitz-Gerald, John Zuccato, Rodney Ryan, Chris Shepherd, and Dmitriy Beryoza of the IBM X-Force Ethical Hacking Team reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can gain access to the target system.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix (Big Data Intelligence (SonarG) 3.2).
