Description:   A vulnerability was reported in BIND. A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote user can send a specially crafted packet to the target server to trigger a logic flaw in 'badcache.c' and cause the target service to crash.

Systems that perform recursion and that have the SERVFAIL cache feature enabled are affected.

BIND Supported Preview Edition is affected.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (BIND Supported Preview Edition 9.10.6-S3).
