Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Apple macOS/OS X. A remote user can cause the target service to crash. Apple TV is affected.

A remote user can send a specially crafted Telugu character in a message to trigger a memory corruption error in the CoreText component and cause the target application to crash.

An anonymous researcher reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service or application to crash.
Solution:   The Apple has issued a fix for Apple TV (11.2.6).
