Description:   A vulnerability was reported in BIND on Ubuntu. A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote user can return a specially crafted DNS response to trigger a validation error and cause the named service to crash.

The BIND versions shipped with some versions of Ubuntu are affected.

The upstream versions of BIND are not affected.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service to crash.
Solution:   Ubuntu has issued a fix.
