Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS XR. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

The system does not properly process extremely long routing updates. A remote user can send a large routing update to trigger an inconsistency between the forwarding information base (FIB) and the routing information base (RIB) and cause denial of service conditions.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCus84718 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
