Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Oracle Database. A remote user can access data on the target system. A remote user can modify data on the target system. A remote user can gain elevated privileges.

A remote authenticated user can exploit a flaw in the Core RDBMS Create Session function with Execute Catalog Role to gain elevated privileges [CVE-2017-10282].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in the Java VM Create Session and Create Procedure functions to gain elevated privileges [CVE-2018-2680].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in the Application Express component to partially access and partially modify data [CVE-2018-2699].

A remote authenticated user can exploit a flaw in the Core RDBMS Local Logon component to partially access data [CVE-2018-2575].

Egidio Romano of Karma(In)Security reported one vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can obtain data on the target system.

A remote user can modify data on the target system.

A remote user can gain elevated privileges on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix as part of the January 2018 Critical Patch Update.
