Description:   A vulnerability was reported in EMC Data Domain. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted SMB1 data to trigger a memory overflow in the SMB1 handler and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.7.5.6; 6.0.2.9, 6.1.0.21; Virtual Edition 3.0 SP2 Update 1, 3.1 Update 2; Advisory ESA-2017-157).
