Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM Security Guardium. A remote user can cause a less-secure security algorithm to be negotiated.

A remote user can cause the system to select an encryption or authentication algorithm that is not the strongest algorithm available.

Ron Craig, Warren Moynihan, Jonathan Fitz-Gerald, John Zuccato, Rodney Ryan, Chris Shepherd, and Dmitriy Beryoza of the IBM X-Force Ethical Hacking Team reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause a less-secure encryption and authentication algorithm to be negotiated.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix.
