Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Apache Struts. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to trigger a deserialization error in the jackson-databind component and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The readValue() method of the ObjectMapper is affected.

David Dillard of Veritas Technologies Product Security Group reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (2.5.14.1).
