Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco NX-OS. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can bypass security controls in the the Open Agent Container (OAC) feature to read and send packets outside the scope of the OAC.

OAC is not enabled by default.

The following Nexus series devices are affected:

2000 Series Fabric Extenders
5000 Series Switches
5500 Platform Switches
5600 Platform Switches
6000 Series Switches
7000 Series Switches
7700 Series Switches

The vendor has assigned bug IDs CSCve53542 and CSCvf36621 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can read and send packets outside the scope of the OAC.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
