Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A local user can exploit an input validation flaw in certain system script files that are installed at boot time to inject and execute arbitrary commands with root privileges on the target host operating system.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvf57274 to this vulnerability.

Tomas Lazauninkas of the Swedbank Security Verification Team reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
