Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system. A remote user can spoof URLs. Oracle Directory Server is affected.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a buffer overflow, use-after-free memory error, or memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2016-2815, CVE-2016-2818, CVE-2016-2819, CVE-2016-2821, CVE-2016-2828].

The Network Security Services (NSS) library is affected by memory corruption errors [CVE-2016-2834].

A remote user can use a persistent menu within a 'select' element to spoof the address bar [CVE-2016-2822].

A remote user can trigger an out-of-bounds write error via the ANGLE graphics library [CVE-2016-2824]. Windows-based systems are affected.

A remote user can set a specially crafted 'location.host' property to bypass same-origin protections [CVE-2016-2825].

A local user can exploit a flaw in the Windows updater to overwrite arbitrary files and potentially gain elevated privileges on the target system [CVE-2016-2826]. Windows-based systems are affected.

A remote user can cause the browser to display the wrong icon for a permission notification request [CVE-2016-2829].

A remote user can create a pointerlock within a full screen window [CVE-2016-2831].

A remote user can create CSS pseudo-classes to obtain information on plugins that are installed but disabled [CVE-2016-2832].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in the Content Security Policy (CSP) to load cross-domain Java applets [CVE-2016-2833].

Christian Holler, Gary Kwong, Jesse Ruderman, Tyson Smith, Timothy Nikkel, Sylvestre Ledru, Julian Seward, Olli Pettay, Karl Tomlinson, Jed Davis, Christoph Diehl, Julian Hector, Jan de Mooij, Mats Palmgren, Tooru Fujisawa, firehack, Jordi Chancel, Aral, Armin Razmdjou,
Frederic Hoguin, Matt Wobensmith, jomo, Tim McCormack, sushi Anton Larsson, and John Schoenick reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A remote user can spoof a URL.

Solution:   Oracle has issued a fix for CVE-2016-2834 for Oracle Directory Server as part of the October 2017 Oracle Critical Patch Update.
