Date:  Oct 10 2017
Impact:   Disclosure of system information, Disclosure of user information, Execution of arbitrary code via network, User access via network
Fix Available:  Yes  Vendor Confirmed:  Yes

Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Edge. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an object memory handling error in the scripting engine and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2017-11792, CVE-2017-11796, CVE-2017-11798, CVE-2017-11799, CVE-2017-11800, CVE-2017-11802, CVE-2017-11804, CVE-2017-11805, CVE-2017-11806, CVE-2017-11807, CVE-2017-11808, CVE-2017-11811, CVE-2017-11812, CVE-2017-11821].

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an object memory handling error in the scripting engine and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2017-8726]. This can also be exploited via an embedded ActiveX control marked "safe for initialization" in an application or via a Microsoft Office document that hosts the scripting rendering engine.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an object memory handling error and access potentially sensitive information on the target system [CVE-2017-11794].

Microsoft ChakraCore Team, Abdulrahman Alqabandi (@qab), Anonymous (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), Huang Anwen ichunqiu Ker Team, Lokihart of Google Project Zero, and Hao Linan of Qihoo 360 Vulcan Team reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
