Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM Spectrum Protect. A local user can obtain passwords on the target system.

The system may use a weak algorithm for encrypting passwords. A local database administrator user can decrypt the IBM Spectrum Protect client or administrator password.

Impact:   A local database administrator user can obtain the IBM Spectrum Protect client or administrator password.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix (7.1.8, 8.1.3).
