Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers. A local user can access data on the target system.

A physically local user can connect to the RJ-45 engineering console port on the motherboard of certain line cards and supply the hardcoded username and password to access the operating system on the target device.

Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers that have removable line cards are affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvc65866 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A physically local user can access the operating system on the target device.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
