Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS/IOS XE. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send a specially crafted DHCPv4 packet to trigger a buffer overflow in the DHCP relay subsystem and execute arbitrary code on the target system. This can be exploited to gain full control of the target system.

Systems configured for DHCP relay are affected.

The vendor has assigned bug IDs CSCsm45390 and CSCuw77959 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
