Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Email Security Appliance. A remote user can consume excessive memory on the target system.

A remote user can send a specially crafted email attachment through the target device to consume all available memory and cause the AsyncOS filtering process to crash. As a result, the device will stop scanning and forwarding email messages.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvd29354 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the device to stop scanning and forwarding email messages.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (9.8.1, 10.0.2-020).
