Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Asterisk. A remote user can hijack the target media session.

A remote user can send specially crafted RTP traffic to exploit a flaw in the strict RTP support feature and provide and receive media from the session.

Impact:   A remote user can hijack the target media session.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (11.25.3, 13.17.2, 14.6.2)

[Editor's note: The vendor originally issued advisory AST-2017-005 (CVE-2017-14099) with fixed versions 11.25.2, 13.17.1, and 14.6.1. However, the fix was incomplete. A revised fix was issued in advisory AST-2017-008 (CVE-2017-14603).]
