Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco StarOS for Cisco ASR 5000 Series Routers. A local user can bypass security restrictions.

A local user can exploit an input validation flaw in the command line interface (CLI) to bypass security controls and execute commands on the underlying operating system.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvd47722 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can bypass security controls and execute operating system commands on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
