Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A custom executable system file was built to use relative search paths for libraries without properly validation. A local user can invoke this file to gain root privileges on the target system.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvc96087 to this vulnerability.

Security Researcher Mgr. Lubomir Vesely reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
