Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Windows Subsystem for Linux. A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can run a specially crafted application to exploit a flaw in the Windows Subsystem for Linux in the handling of NT pipes to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges [CVE-2017-8622].

A local user can run a specially crafted application to trigger an object memory handling flaw and cause denial of service conditions on the target system [CVE-2017-8627].

Alex Ionescu of Winsider Seminars & Solutions, Inc. reported one vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
