Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Web Security Appliance. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A local operator-level or administrator-level user can supply specially crafted commands via the command line interface to trigger an input validation flaw and execute arbitrary commands on the target system with root privileges.

Virtual and hardware versions are affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvd88855 to this vulnerability.

Daniel Jensen of Security-Assessment.com reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (10.5.1-270, 10.1.1-234).
