Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in EMC Data Protection Advisor. A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system. A remote authenticated user can inject SQL commands.

The software does not properly validate user-supplied input.

A remote authenticated user can supply a specially crafted parameter value to execute SQL commands on the underlying database [CVE-2017-8002].

A remote authenticated highly privileged user can send specially crafted data to exploit a path traversal flaw and obtain potentially sensitive information from the underlying operating system on the target system [CVE-2017-8003].

rgod (via Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative (ZDI)) reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can execute SQL commands on the underlying database.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (6.4; Advisory ESA-2017-075).
