Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Xen. A local user on the guest system can obtain potentially sensitive information from another guest system or the host system.

The system does not properly initialize some fields of the block interface (blkif) response structure. A local user on a guest system can obtain potentially sensitive information from stack memory on another guest system or on the host system.

FreeBSD, NetBSD, and Windows systems are not affected.

Anthony Perard of Citrix reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user on the guest system can obtain potentially sensitive information from another guest system or the host system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
