Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Adobe Digital Editions. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system. A local user can gain elevated privileges on the target system.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2017-3088, CVE-2017-3089, CVE-2017-3093, CVE-2017-3096].

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a stack overflow and obtain potentially sensitive memory address information on the target system [CVE-2017-3094, CVE-2017-3095].

A local user can exploit a library loading error to gain elevated privileges on the target system [CVE-2017-3090, CVE-2017-3092, CVE-2017-3097].

Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs, John Carroll of https://ctus.io, Ke Liu of Tencent's Xuanwu LAB, YujiTounai (via NTT Communications Corporation), riusksk of Tencent Security Platform Department, and an anonymous researcher reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A local user can gain elevated privileges on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.5.5).
