Description:   A vulnerability was reported in F5 BIG-IP Virtual Edition Azure. A remote user can gain access to the target system.

A remote user can use a default administrative password for the Azure instance administrative user account to gain access to the target system.

BIG-IP Virtual Edition (VE) Azure instances and Azure Web Application Firewall solutions on the Azure Marketplace are affected.

BIG-IP VE instances on other cloud services are not affected.

The vendor has assigned ID 652151 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can gain access to the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (12.1.2 HF1, 13.0.0 HF2).
