Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Apple iOS. An application can cause denial of service conditions on the target system. An application can obtain elevated privileges on the target system. A user can bypass certificate validation on the target system. Apple Watch is affected.

An application can trigger a memory corruption error in the AVEVideoEncoder component to gain kernel-level privileges [CVE-2017-6989].

An application can trigger a memory handling error in Notifications to cause denial of service conditions on the target system [CVE-2017-6982].

An unspecified certificate validation error may occur in the Security component [CVE-2017-2498].

Vincent Desmurs (vincedes3), Sem Voigtlander (OxFEEDFACE), and Joseph Shenton of CoffeeBreakers, Adam Donenfeld (@doadam) of the Zimperium zLabs Team, and Andrew Jerman reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   An application can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

An application can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A user can bypass certificate validation on the target system.

Solution:   The Apple has issued a fix for CVE-2017-6989 for Apple Watch (3.2.2).
