Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS XR. A remote user can cause the target system to crash.

A remote user can send specially crafted gRPC requests to the target Event Management Service daemon (emsd) to cause the target device to crash. A manual restart is required to return the system to normal operations.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvb14441 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target system to crash. A manual restart is required to return the system to normal operations.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (XR 6.1.2).
