Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco ASA. A remote user can cause the target system to reload.

A remote user can send specially crafted SSL or TLS packets via a valid SSL or TLS session to the target system to trigger a parsing error and cause the target system to reload.

The following models are affected:

ASA 1000V Cloud Firewall
ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances
ASA 5500-X Series Next-Generation Firewalls
ASA Services Module for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and Cisco 7600 Series Routers
Adaptive Security Virtual Appliance (ASAv)
Firepower 9300 ASA Security Module
ISA 3000 Industrial Security Appliance

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCuv48243 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target system to reload.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (8.4(7.31), 9.0(4.39), 9.1(7), 9.2(4.6), 9.3(3.8), 9.4(2), 9.5(2)).
