Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Foxit Reader. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a use-after-free memory error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a type confusion error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an out-of-bounds memory read error and execute arbitrary code or access potentially sensitive information on the target user's system [CVE-2017-8453, CVE-2017-8454, CVE-2017-8455].

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a null pointer dereference and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

NSFOCUS Security Team, SkyLined and Soiax (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), Steven Seeley (mr_me) of Offensive Security (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), Ke Liu of Tencent's Xuanwu LAB (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), Ashfaq Ansari - Project Srishti (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), lightseeker (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), Anonymous1 (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), kdot (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative), riusksk of Tencent Security Platform Department, and Toan Pham Van (via Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative) reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (8.2.1).
