Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco TelePresence Multipoint Control Unit (MCU). A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted IPv4 or IPv6 fragments to the target system on a port configured for Passthrough content mode to trigger a buffer overflow in the fragment reassembly process and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The following TelePresence MCU models are affected when running version 4.3(1.68) and later:

5300 Series
MSE 8510

The MCU 4200 Series and MCU MSE 8420 models are not affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCuu67675 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.5(1.89)).
