Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Kaspersky Internet Security. A remote user can bypass certificate validation. A local user can obtain an SSL private key.

A local user can obtain a private key used for managing SSL connections and conduct attacks against SSL connections initiated by the target user's browser.

When the target user explicitly trusts an invalid SSL certificate for a specific site, a remote user may be able to bypass certificate validation warnings for sites listed in the Subject Alternative Names of the original invalid SSL certificate.

A remote user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack can exploit an SSL certificate caching error to access SSL connections initiated by the target user's browser for a site by IP address.

Tavis Ormandy reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A local user can access an SSL private key.

A remote user can bypass certificate validation warnings in certain cases.

A remote user can decrypt SSL connections in certain cases.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix [available on December 28, 2016].
