Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. Mozilla Thunderbird is affected.

A remote user can create specially crafted JavaScript that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a use-after-free memory error in SVG Animation and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

This vulnerability is being actively exploited against Firefox and the Tor Browser on Windows-based systems.

Impact:   A remote user can create JavaScript content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   Red Hat has issued a fix for Mozilla Thunderbird.

3. Description:

Mozilla Thunderbird is a standalone mail and newsgroup client.

This update upgrades Thunderbird to version 45.5.1.

Security Fix(es):

* A flaw was found in the processing of malformed web content. A web page
containing malicious content could cause Thunderbird to crash or,
potentially, execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running
Thunderbird. (CVE-2016-9079)
